Founded in October 2024, Oak Street Apparel Co. is a firefighter-owned apparel company built from a passion for the fire service, original artwork, and the traditions that have shaped generations of firefighters.

Our mission is simple: create high-quality, original firefighter apparel that allows those who serve, and those who support them, to proudly represent the fire service both on and off duty. From firefighter t-shirts and hoodies to hats, stickers, mugs, and artwork, our designs are inspired by firehouse culture, American traditional tattoo art, and the pride and brotherhood that come with the job.

Why Oak Street?

The name Oak Street Apparel pays tribute to an important piece of American tattoo history. In the 1870s, tattoo artist Martin Hildebrandt operated a tattoo establishment on Oak Street in New York City and is widely recognized as one of America's earliest professional tattoo shops.

That history felt like a natural foundation for our brand. Tattoo culture and the fire service have shared a connection for generations. Both are rooted in tradition, storytelling, symbolism, and pride in the things that matter most. Oak Street Apparel brings those worlds together through original artwork heavily influenced by American traditional tattoo designs and classic fire service culture.

We're not interested in simply putting another fire department graphic on a shirt. Our goal is to create distinctive off-duty firefighter apparel with artwork that feels authentic to the people who live this lifestyle.
